This site is oriented around communities. Currently there are already communities set up in several regions around the United States. We are adding other communities all the time. If you'd like to see a specific community on this site, contact the Webmaster below.

You will probably be most interested in the region in which you live, so that's the place to start -- by entering that community from the Home page.

Once you've entered a community, your number of choices increases because there are lots of things that only make sense when they are local to you. Many of these things are available to all visitors, meaning that you don't have to become a member to benefit from the various informational listings.

We would like you to become a member, however, and membership is FREE! When you become a member you get additional access to many interactive areas and some special features that we believe will be of interest to many.

Where to Start

Enter a community:

• Everyone shops -- some a little more than others. But if you want to know where to shop locally go directly to our Yellow Pages where you'll find every business in town just a click away. Main Street Central members can also share the good, the bad, and the ugly about local businesses by rating and reviewing all listed businesses.
  
  
• Check out the Local menu for civic-oriented listings and information.
  
  
• Look at the community Event Central™ calendar.
  
  
• If you're in the job market, see what positions local businesses are offering at Job Central™.
  
  
• Looking to buy something? Then check out the local offerings at Classifieds Central™.
  
  
• Have you found or lost a pet or something else that you would like to re-unite with its owner? Let them know by posting it in our free Lost & Found.
  
  
• Do you have young kids? Do you work? Check out the special section devoted just to keeping our little ones occupied and cared for at Child Care Central™.
  
  
• For those rare individuals who have time on their hands, why not see what volunteer opportunities are out there at Volunteer Central™. As a member, you can also post your availability or your community service project.

Become a member:

• Submit your favorite sites to our Cool & Useful Sites page. You can also vote on or review any of the listed sites.
  
  
• Check out Classmate Central™ from the Members menu. This is destined to be an incredible service. Schools can hook up to it and participate for free as well.
  
  
• Register yourself at Gift Central™ for you to list what you'd like to receive for any upcoming occasion and what local merchant you know carries it.
  
  
• Have something you want to sell? Are you having a garage sale? You can list it for free at Classifieds Central™.
  
  
• During election season, not only can you find out about the candidates and the issues, but you can also vote on-line (just for fun, of course). Visit Election Central™. While you're there, be sure to see what local residents have to say about the state of affairs in the Vox Populi™ (Voice of the People) forum.
