While everyone may have different feelings about the amount of privacy you can maintain in this brave new world, it is a topic of discussion all over the world.

In its simplest terms, our policy is that we will not release any information about you to anyone for any purposes.

That said, however, there is a certain amount of information that you will need to provide in order to use some of the features of this site. In all cases, the use of the information that you supply will be explained at the time that you provide it and its use will be limited to those purposes.

For example, as a business owner, you will want to make sure that your business information is up-to-date. In order for us to ascertain who you say you are, we require some information that you may consider private in nature. The information we keep is for validation purposes and will not be used for any other purpose.

What Visitors Can See

You determine what other visitors to this site can learn about you. There are provisions to turn off the public display of selected pieces of personally identifiable information.

Changing Your Information

You can view and change any information that we store about you at any time. If you provide false information, you violate the Terms of Use of this site.

Cancelling Your Membership

You can cancel your membership at any time. See our Terms of Use for cancellation information.

Information about Children

We do not solicit memberships from children under the age of thirteen (13). We assume that business owners who use Business Central are not children (although some might argue otherwise). We do not ask for any information that would identify someone as a child. If children are becoming members on this site, we have no way of knowing about them because we don't collect that information. By doing this, we have met the requirements of COPPA.

Our Position on COPPA

We strongly disagree with government interference in the family unit. This and other privacy laws offer no real protection for anyone, but place a huge burden on businesses.

Think of how silly it is to define a child as someone under the age of 13. Teenagers are, arguably, prime targets for sexual predators. They are also, however, a huge market for merchandise and entertainment. So the lobbyists made sure that this prime market was exempted from this silly law.

We take the position that the best way to protect children's privacy is through parental involvement. Parents who have no idea what their children are doing are the real problem. And unfortunately, you don't need a license or any training to become a parent.

Governments can only pass laws. Laws don't protect people, they just punish those who are caught breaking them. While we believe that those who prey on children are the lowest forms of life in the universe, we don't believe that COPPA protects them nor do we believe that it is our responsibility to be surrogates for disinterested parents.

If you really want to protect your children, spend the time to learn what they are doing in their lives. They'll appreciate your interest.
